Christmas Present

Hi!!!

Today, I'm going to talk about the Christmas present would I like to get.

Honestly there is nothing material that you want at the moment but a Christmas present that I would love is a book written by Michel Foucault. I read some books and I love his work. Particularly I would like to receive the book entitled "The Order of Things" because I saw it in a bookstore and was the most expensive, therefore it is more difficult that I can buy =(. 

If i had that book in my hands would read immediately because every time I read some book I learn something new and the feeling of "learn more" i like specially if that knowledge comes from one of my favorite authors. 

Although I did not order gifts, now I just want the book or i'll be sad some minutes, but only some minutes because I just remember that I bought a pair of books in the FILSA and still i haven't read. 

Also I would like to receive a printer because mine is bad and is very necessary for me. But what they really want is not material... I want my family and friends are very well and that the world a little better for all. Santa Claus don't let me down please!

Summer Plans

Hi!

Today, I'm going to talk about my summer plans

In this summer, I'm going to travel to La Serena. All the years I'm going and i love it!!!. There's nothing like feeling the sea breeze, the sun in the day and the wind in the night. Also, in La Serena are the most important people in my life: my parents and very good friends. Summer is ideal to share with my family and enjoy along with my friends. But, also is a good time for work.

One of the things I always do when I am in La Serena is going to the beach but not only during the daytime, but also in the night. I don't like a lot to get to the discs but there are some parties that are close to the beach that are amazing!. Another thing that I will do, is go to see the sunrise on the beach. It is a beautiful scene!

But as I said, I'd like to work. In the summer, there is enough employment opportunities. I think is the best time to put together a substantial amount of money. And the money is always necessary.

However, for the next summer, I will go to Argentina with my brother. I don't know what I'd do there, but I still have a year to think about it. But I only hope that come January to go to La Serena and enjoy my stay in this beautiful city!!! 

My Favourite piece of Art

Today, I'm going to talk about a piece of art.

Honestly, I do not have a piece of favorite art, but I like it several. The first one that came to my mind is the mural "Latinoamerica" realized by the artists "Jano" and "Basti".

Jano and Basti belong to collective "La Mano", which is aimed at the unification and democratization of the artistic work in Latin America, using as the main tool the paint, developing a graphic line linked to indigenous peoples. This group also performs an important work in the neighborhoods of Latin America, looking for know what is happening, living the day to day and denouncing through art.

"Lationamerica" is one of the 40 murals that shape the "Open-Air Museum" in the commune of San Miguel. The project of museum has turned into one of the major expressions of street art into Chile, because share the stage and mingle the techniques of mural painting and graffiti with original works developed by national and international exponents. 

I like this piece of art specifically, because the colors used are very striking, but especially because it shows a common history that unites to Latin America and once united is possible generate profound changes.

Hi!

Today, I'm going to talk about the last movie I watched: The Imitation Game

The Imitation Game was released in 2014. The film is about the mathematician Alan Turing, who along with other experts can decipher the code used by the Nazis to communicate during the second world war.

It is a film with a compelling story that already not only exposes as decrypted the enigma code and the origin of the computers, but also the existing prejudices about homosexuality in that time.

But not only the history stands out, also the performances of those involved, especially of Benedict Cumberbatch (Alan Turing). His performance is complex and highly credible. 

Definitely I love this movie!!! I think is the best i've seen this year (the worst has been "Aloha" perhaps in another post i'll talk about it) because the history, the ambience and the performances are memorable.  And I must admit, ever since I saw the film, every time I do a crossword puzzle i wonder how much it would take Touring.

Today, I'm going to talk about my favorite music band.

Los Bunkers" is a Chilean music band formed in 1999. It's very popular in Chile and Latin American. Its members are Álvaro López, Francisco Durán, Mauricio Durán, Gonzalo López and Mauricio Basualto. This band plays rock music, it influences include The Beatles, Sloan and Supergrass. The band has released six studio albums: "Los Bunkers", "Canción de Lejos", "La Culpa", "Vida de Perros" (my favorite album), "Barrio Estación" and "Música Libre", also the band has a live album called "En Vivo". 

Los Bunkers captured the attention of fans who liked The Kinks, Franz Ferdinand and The Strokes. The success of the album in Mexico, with their single “Llueve sobre la Ciudad” was huge throughout the Mexican Republic with presentations at the Vive Latino Festival, Corona Fest, and the Metropolitan Theatre among others. The Bunkers made their debut live concert in the U.S. during the LAMC (Latin Alternative Music Conference) before an audience of 10,000.  

I like "Los Bunkers" because its songs represents personals situations and it has an interesting social discourse, for example in its last performance on "Festival de Viña del Mar" it showed images about education and the Mapuche community. 

Finally, after much thought my favorite song is... "Llueve sobre la ciudad" because when I listened for the first time this song its letter remember me a similar personal situation.

Unfortunately this band separated in 2014 =(

Hi!

Today, I'm going to talk about a my favourite photograph. 

There are many photos that I like, but one of my favorites is with my schoolmates. This photo was taken in September, 2010 after the last activity that we did as course. The activity of Fiestas Patrias is done every year and on that occasion we danced "pascuense". In the photo appearing almost all those who participated in the show. 

It was very special because in addition to being the last activity of the school in which we participated, this activity was the first in which I participated doing the costumes and contributing with the choreography. I felt very helpful! 

The most important in this photo, is that it makes me remember not only the time that the photograph was taken, but all the nice moments that I lived with my schoolmates. We spent many years together doing a countless amount of things that I remember very fondly.

Until today I have contact with several that appear in the photograph, even some of the considered as part of my family because I have always been with them. 

Money, money, money...

Hi!

Today, I'm going to talk about I would do if I won the lottery.

If I won the lottery I would do several things for the benefit of my family. First, I would pay the debt of my parents with the bank for the house where they live. I shudder to think that someday may not pay out dividends and the bank remove the home that has cost them so much have. Also I would buy a department to my brother to live comfortably with his daughter. 

Once solved the problem of housing. I want to be able travel, to know Chile from North to South and why not other countries?. But not everything is pleasure. I would like to study another career because always wanted to study psychology and still can't remember why I have chosen to Sociology!!!. I must clarify that I love my career but study psychology would be incredible.

Finally I would like to help some foundations dedicated to children, animals and older adults with the amount of money required. 

The remaining money is deposited in the bank to generate interest without risk to lose.  I'm not interested in giving me a great life, only to ensure the welfare of my family and... work to live and not to survive!!

A super power!

Hi!!! 

Today, I am going to talk about a super power I would like to have.

If I could have a super power I'd like to read the minds of the people, because it is difficult for a person to say what they really feel and what you think. The people at least once in their life they lie and deceive others even those who claim to want. 

But this power does not only have a use for personal purposes but also social... I imagine unmasked to the businessman and politicians, who are the real villains of this society! 

However, I think would have three problems. First, I would definitely go crazy listening to the thoughts of all. Second, if the people knew my power be moved farther away from me and third, I guess that the "powerful" want to get rid of me.

Without hesitation I would use this power for personal benefit but I would have to think pretty If I would venture to use it for other. But I can assure you that I would use it to do something that it deems bad although has what is good for one is bad for another. UPS! 

My best holiday

Hi!!! 

Today, I am going to talk about my best holiday. 

In February 2010, when I was still in school, I traveled outside of Chile with my classmates. In two weeks visited Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. It was amazing!!!

Usually during the holiday I'm in my home, I share with my family and friends, read some novel and I watch many films, it's unlikely that trip, and when it did, it was within the country, had never left it! Also, It was not the first time traveling with my parents or relative. 

I slept very little and I went to several parties, but behaved very well, I didn't do anything of what I could repent.

There are three moments that I remember with special emotion. First, take a dip in the pool at night while there was an electrical storm. Second, when I was in the Cathar's Iguazu and finally, when I visited a hot springs in Argentina. 

Well... All was not so good. I got sick of the stomach and I burned a foot in Argentina, but I was left with the most beautiful memories of these holidays.

A country I'd like to visit

Today, I am going to talk about Mexico.

Mexico is a country located in America, in this territory inhabited the Mayas and the Aztecas. Mexico is characterized for its culture (the Rancheras, the different dances and typical outfit), architecture and religion (it's one of the countries with the largest number of Catholics in the world) but this beautiful country has to face corruption and drug trafficking. 

I would like visit to Kukulcán (pyramid), Monte Albán (pre- hispanic city) and the Metropolitan Cathedral. These places are unique and have long history. The architecture is a subject that catches my attention. Also I'd like to attend the feast of the dead. 

I forgot to mention about soap opera! Televisa makes and sells soap operas to different parts of the world, how can we forget "María la del barrio"? jajaja. 

I would like study and work in this country, because there is a large development of Sociology. But I worry about what to eat!! the food is delicious but spicy and I don´t like the spices and chili!. Well... I think it's something solvable.

Fatherhood 

Today to talk about fatherhood is different than 50 years ago. The fathers of today are much more hands on and involved than the fathers of the past.

Fifty years ago, the concept of a good father belonged to a good provider, as is the mother who must deal with the education, care and the emotional aspect of the children. But today, fathers are increasingly seen as emotional support from their families and mothers as economic support.

Fathers have taken on more child care and housework. They are staying home to raise their children, feeding, changing diapers, and are much more involved in their children's lives but women still do the majority. 

While men are involved in the lives of their children in different ways, the woman remains who is responsible for the upbringing of their children. If the role of the women had not changed and therefore the motherhood, it is unlikely that the idea of fatherhood had changed.

It is essential that the responsibility of raising children is shared by men and women alike, there is no more responsible than others. For this there is still a long way to go because that is tied to gender roles.

Today, i am going to talk about a T.V programme I saw as a child

"Bananas in Pyjamas"

My favourite T.V programme I saw as a child it was called Bananas in Pyjamas. This program was about the story of two bananas and their friends. B1 and B2 are twins of bananas, which they were fruits of bananas, and the main characters of the show. They are naughty, exaggerated, cheerful and funny. They love to spend lots of time with the bears teddies: Morgan, Lulu, and Amy on doing various activities, such as playing, working on the farm, and telling stories. 

This program was transmitted every Saturday morning in CHV. I always saw it!!!, because I liked the stories, they were very entertaining and the players they were yellow , and I love this color. Also its song was so catchy , I can not get it out of my head to this day...

Bananas in pajamas are coming down in pairs,

Bananas in pajamas are chasing teddy bears,

'cause on Tuesdays they all try to catch them unawares ♪ ♫

Today , the program is broadcast but it is different from what I saw. Now, the bananas and bears are animated before were people dressed.

Hi everyone! today I'm going to talk about this semester

I think that this semester has been good  for two reasons. First, the academic load is low compared to previous semesters so I 've had time to study and enjoy doing things I like. Second, I have a good qualifications, this is very important for me!!! But, there are also negative facts as the extend strike (2 month) and some family problems (already solved). This semester was a very relaxed in every aspect personal and academic. Honestly this semester did not happen much, or at least important things for me. It was a very relaxed in every aspect.
Now that I think about it, I realize I did not do anything important happened , nor something to remember this semester as a special.
I hope that next semester is more productive than this, I want to graduate , work and be happy!!!

...I just want to have a holiday!

Hi everyone! today I'm going to talk about my favourite photograph. 

I don`t remember who took this photograph (it may have been my father or my brother), but I remember very well this day: Febraury 5th, 2014,the birth of my first and only niece, named Antonella (daughter of my only brother) in the Davila clinic. 

In the picture I take to Antonella in my arms, the first time I had it in them!. I was very excited and nervous in this moment because she was only had a couple of hours old. Whenever I see it again I feel that emotion, the joy of being close to her for the first time. For this reason I love the picture and I have chosen to share with you. 

Not sure what to write, I think I've said everything about this picture. 

... it's definitely a moment I will never forget. 

Hi everyone! today I'm going to talk about a food I hate 

I hate the "guatitas"! 

The "guatitas" are very popular in Latin American countries. These are pieces of beef stomach and has different preparations as the "Guatitas a la Jardinera".

I hate this food because has a strong and disagreeable taste, also its texture is very viscous and rough. Also has a pungent smell. Remember that when I was girl, my mother prepared this food every weekend because to my father loves the "Guatitas a las Jardinera" but she prepared another meal for me. But when I was teenager I lived with my aunt a little time and she used for all guatitas and had to eat for not be ungrateful.

Finally, today is imposible that I eat guatitas, would not do under any circumstances, I prefer to lie (say "I'm sick stomach") before eating again.

Hi everyone! Today, I’m going to talk about India

I would like to visit Republic of India because it's a very different culture. This country is characterized as the second most populous in the world (1st republic of China) and its rivers Indo and Ganges. Also for its foods (with lots of spices), clothing (made with fine and delicate fabrics), architecture (old buildings), literatura and religion (Hinduism and Buddhism).

From my point of view religion is most interesting about this country, because defines the social structure. Social classes are defined by thousands of endogamous hereditary groups, often termed as "castes". This topic is interesting enough treat from Socioloy, however it would job or holiday, not to live, because I do not think having the ability to adapt to such a different culture to Western

In my instance in India, I would like to visit the Temple Harmandir Sahib and the small town Mc Leod Ganj, because the Dalai Lama took refuge in this place to escape from Tibet (1959). 

... Well, I hope to go some day and marvel at the culture of India.
